Privacy policy

RenewCanary ("we", contact madebybep@gmail.com) monitors SSL certificates and domain registrations for websites you add. This policy explains what we collect.

What we collect

• Account: your email address, plan, and login session records.
• Monitored sites: the hostnames and optional client labels you add, plus the public certificate and registration data we look up for them.
• Free checker: the hostname you check. Your IP address is used briefly for rate limiting (stored as a hashed key) and isn't kept long-term.
• Waitlist: if you join the paid-plan waitlist, your email and chosen plan, used only to tell you when it launches.
• Billing: payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and subscription status, never card details.

How we use it

Only to provide the service: running checks, sending alerts and the weekly digest, and managing your plan. We don't sell data and don't use advertising trackers.

• Cloudflare (hosting, database)
• Resend (email delivery)
• Stripe (payments)

We query public data sources (domain RDAP registries and Certificate Transparency logs such as Cert Spotter and crt.sh) using only the hostname.

Retention and your rights

Data is kept while your account is active. Delete sites any time from the dashboard. To delete your account or get a copy of your data, email madebybep@gmail.com. If you're in the EU/UK you have GDPR rights to access, correct, erase and object.

Cookies

One essential session cookie, set only when you log in. No tracking cookies.
